Strawberry Banana is my favorite combo , but for a change substitute any berries and add spinach or kale. In other words, really step up the nutrition!

For example, raw baby spinach adds potassium, magnesium and vitamins B6 and B9. Also, it adds Vitamin D as well as folic acid, calcium and iron. Wow!

Additionally, Kale adds antioxidants, calcium, vitamins C and K and iron.

I used Fage greek yogurt, since it has a high protein content. For example, in a serving (3/4 cup), there are 17 grams of protein. I used the one with 2% fat. The nonfat or 0% fat product has 18 grams of protein per serving. All their products have no added sugar.

Of course you can use your favorite plain greek yogurt. I also used almond milk which is relatively low in protein. Only 1 gram of protein per 8 ounces. Changing to cashew milk improves protein to 4.5 grams of protein in 8 ounces. Soy milk has 6.5 grams and cows milk has 8 grams in 8 ounces.
